[Fairview Heights, Il.]-On June 30, 2012 at approximately 10:20 am, Fairview Heights Police officers responded to Illinois Title Loans located at 10509 Lincoln Trail to investigate a robbery.  The lone suspect had fled the business prior to the police department being contacted.

Officers were told the suspect entered the business and asked the female employee questions related to the business.  There were no other customers in the business at the time.  The suspect suddenly announced the robbery and ordered the employee to the floor.  The robber than secured the employees hands and feet.  He then took an undetermined amount of currency from the business and fled through the front door.

Within a few minutes of the suspect’s exit, two customers entered the business and found the employee attempting to free herself.  One of these customers alerted the Fairview Heights Police Department by telephone.

No weapon was displayed and no one was injured in the incident.

The suspect was described as follows:  5’ 8” black male, thin build, thin mustache, mid 20’s, wearing a red hat and oversized white t-shirt.
