Felony Charges for Grab-and-Run Suspect

On Thursday, December 14, 2017, the St. Clair County State Attorney, Brendan Kelly’s office issued a warrant of arrest, charging:

Jermaine R. Wesley
M/B 26 years of age
1200 Block of Leonard Avenue
St. Louis, MO

With five felony counts of Retail Theft; his bond is set at $75,000.

Wesley was caught by undercover officers on December 12, 2017, while trying to grab merchandise from Dillard’s with a getaway car waiting outside. Wesley was also found to be the same suspect in eight other grab-and-run style thefts from the St. Clair Square Mall. In all, Wesley is responsible for stealing approximately $25,000 worth of clothing and merchandise during the past few months. The getaway driver fled from police on I-64 westbound and has not yet been identified.

Wesley is currently being held at the St. Clair County Jail.
