O’Fallon Man Charged in Two Burglaries

On Monday, April 10, 2017, Deterick L. Green, M/B 45 years old, 312 Wellesley Dr, O’Fallon, was charged with two counts of burglary by the St. Clair County State Attorney, Brendan Kelly’s office, for his role in the break-ins of two Fairview Heights auto part stores. Green is accused of burglarizing O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, 10601 Lincoln Trail on March 30, 2017, and Autozone, 918 Lincoln Highway on April 5, 2017.

During the course of the investigations, Green was identified as a suspect in both Fairview Heights and O’Fallon for several break-ins. On Thursday, April 6th, during the early morning hours, Green was spotted by an O’Fallon patrol officer, who attempted to stop Green. However, Green fled west on I-64 in his vehicle. Green later stopped along the interstate in the Fairview Heights area and fled on foot. Several hours later Green was spotted walking in the area of the Fairview Heights Police Department where he was placed under arrest by Fairview Heights Officers.

The burglary charges are the result of a collaborative investigation conducted by Fairview Heights and O’Fallon Police Detectives. Green’s bond has been set at $75,000; he is currently being held at the St. Clair County Jail.
