When officers arrived they found a window broken and items missing from inside the store, which included several sets of car keys and computers. It was also discovered that three of the business’ rental vehicles were stolen.
After noting the stolen vehicle’s information, a computer check showed one of the vehicles had been stopped by the Swansea Police Department overnight prior to the vehicle being reported stolen. From this information a suspect was developed.
Officers were able to contact this person at his residence and take him into custody. One of the stolen vehicles was found behind his residence, while two others were recovered parked in the same neighborhood were the burglary occurred. The Swansea man is now being held at the FHPD while the investigation continues.
