St. Louis Men Charged with Discharging Firearm in Park

On Monday, February 25, 2019, at approximately 3 p.m., a caller at Pleasant Ridge Park reported seeing two males get out of a car and walk into the woods.  Moments later the caller heard several gunshots coming from the area where the males had gone.

Fairview Heights Officers responded and were able to locate the males in the area described by the witness.  Although the two suspects attempted to run, officers were able to corral them and place them under arrest.  The gun the two were shooting was recovered hidden a short distance away.  During a search of the suspect’s vehicle, a small amount of cannabis was also recovered.

On Tuesday, February 26, 2019, the investigation was presented to the St. Clair County State Attorney’s office for warrant application.  A warrant was issued for each suspect, charging:

22 years of age

Jordy J. Sanchez-Andrade

22 years of age

St. Louis, MO

With the following charges:

Reckless Discharge of a Firearm-Class 4 Felony

Unlawful Use of a Weapon-Class A Misdemeanor

Both suspects are being held with a $10,000 bond (10% Cash) at the St. Clair County Jail.  Sanchez-Andrade was also served with a traffic warrant from 2017 in St. Clair County.
