Theft Suspects Charged with Armed Robbery

On Thursday, November 28, 2018, at approximately 2:40 p.m., a Fairview Heights police officer was notified of a theft that had just occurred at the Victoria’s Secret Pink department store in the St. Clair Square Mall. The Pink store manager reported to the officer that two female suspects had entered the store and concealed a large number of clothing items; when approached by the store employee they displayed a small canister of pepper spray and threatened the employee while the theft was committed.

The female suspects left the mall in an unknown vehicle and direction. The officer responded and observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed from the parking lot almost striking other vehicles. Once the driver of the vehicle committed several Illinois Vehicle Code violations, the officer stopped the car. When the officer approached the vehicle, he could see that two of the four occupants fit the description of the suspects. He also noticed a large amount of Pink brand clothing throughout the car with the plastic security tags still attached.

The manager of Pink was transported to the vehicle stop and positively identified the suspects, who were then placed under arrest. At the time of the arrest, both suspects provided false names and birth dates. From the vehicle over $3,000 of stolen clothing was recovered, which belonged to Pink.

Today, the Fairview Heights Police Department received warrants of arrest for the suspects:

And

The suspects were both charged with one-count of Armed Robbery, which is a Class X felony, and one-count of obstructed identification, which is a Class A misdemeanor. The females are now in the custody at the St. Clair County Jail with a bond amount of $50,000.

Dickerson is also being held for two outstanding felony warrants from the State of Missouri.

• All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
